Maa’ Deyo “Hyperbels” – Hamburg has a new stage

A new event space was opened in the basement of the Maa’ Deyo restaurant last Thursday. At the “Hyperbels Concert Evenings” the finest free improvisation and free jazz is played in an intimate setting with a maximum of 30 visitors, while South American fusion cuisine is celebrated upstairs. Great!

Deep-fried eggs on spinach

For those who still did not have enough eggs on this sunny Easter weekend… Crispy crumbed with almonds and inside as soft as butter. With fresh spinach leaves and cress. The good, old classic “spinach with egg” tastes so good – and without “blubb”.

Venison steak with chilli and blackberry sauce

After collecting blueberries and mushrooms on my hikes over the past few weeks, now the blackberries are ripe. They’re plentiful this year, and they’re sun-kissed and sugar-sweet. I processed my harvest into a very fine sauce for the venison steak. Chilli, ginger, red and port wine and the fruity sweetness of blackberries – the sauce is really phantastic…
